“Eyelash” is a short drama film directed by Jesse Lewis Reece in 2020. It was nominated for Best short film at the BAFTAs and can be seen here. The film is beautifully adapted from Neil Hilborn’s poem “OCD” (link below). It explores a couple’s burgeoning relationship (played by Elijah Harris and Ishtar Currie Wilson) as it struggles under the emotional strain of mental health and the feeling of obsession.
At only 6 mins long, it’s a powerful film in which we are led by spoken word and accompanying visuals that reinforce the all-encompassing compulsions of having OCD.
