TWO

Today marks the second anniversary of ‘The Other Cinema.’ Three hundred fifty-two films have been profiled so far and counting. We have been growing steadily, and now is the time I feel comfortable in broadening the canvas.
Last year, I mentioned a redesign of the site and an additional section that would include “Conversations” with filmmakers. I’m pleased to announce that both are in the works. The first, “In Conversation,” is currently being lovingly finessed for your human ears. My first conversation was with a friend of mine, writer and director Garth Jennings (A Hitchhikers Guide To The Galaxy/Son of Rambo/Sing/Sing 2), and he will be our inaugural guest in the series. Numbers two and three are already in the works and will be released this year, and hopefully more, we’ll see how it goes.
The website will have a spruce up in short order to make it a more effortless viewing experience, so please keep an eye out for that.
This site was born out of a love for film and is in no way driven by money (obviously), although it would be fantastic if I could get it to a point where it could at least pay for itself. I enjoy visiting films I have watched over the years; it’s strangely satisfying, and I have re-watched many of them as a result. I hope it does the same for you.
Lastly, I want to express my gratitude to everyone who has stopped by and had a read or a poke about, as well as to all my subscribers. Your support inspires me to keep posting.

In the meantime, on to year three!
